Dr. Eugenia Toki, holds a B.Sc. Honours degree in Computer Science from Kingston University, Kingston Upon Thames, UK (1992), a M.Sc. degree Computer Science in Language, Speech and Auditory Processing from the University of Sheffield, Sheffield, UK (1997), and a Ph.D. from the University of Ioannina, Ioannina, Greece (2011). She is a Professor at the Department of Speech and Language Therapy, School of Health Sciences, University of Ioannina, Greece (www.uoi.gr).
Speech Language Pathology - Special Educational Needs
Her main research interests are in the field of computer science, with a focus on new technologies in speech therapy and learning, e-learning, artificial intelligence and machine learning, serious games learning, digital storytelling, ICT in education/special education, computer-mediated communication, knowledge communities, language development, open learning, MOOCs, and DBR. She has published over 80 papers in reputable scientific journals and conference proceedings and has participated in numerous research projects. She is serving as guest editor and peer reviewer in many scientific journals.
